Early Childhood Newsletter - February 28th, 2022
Estimadas familias de PCS,
How is it that we are ready to wrap up the month of February? With the month of March ahead, the hope of spring is on our minds.
Thank you for your patience as we have had to work through some tough weather situations the last few weeks. We know that any time school is called off or when we have to pivot to virtual learning due to weather we can expect a mixed bag of reactions. Hopefully, as the weather begins to get warmer and the days become longer, we can keep our schedules and maintain a balance of teaching and learning in our school community.
Parking Lot Procedure Reminder:
AM Drop Off: For drop off in the morning we ask that you use the drop off circle if you are not walking your child into the building. Please remember when using the drop off circle to pull all the way up to the front spot and to please stay in your car. The adults outside will open your child’s car door. When we have parents getting out of their car in the drop of circle it slows down the flow of traffic. If you would like to help your child out of the car or get bookbags out of the trunk we ask that you park in the lot. Look for the staff members outside to direct and guide you.
PM Drop Off: Please make sure when crossing the parking lot in the morning and afternoon to use the crosswalk and wait until you are directed to cross. If you have older students that you have asked to meet you in front of the EC building please remind them to also use the crosswalk. We want to make sure everyone is safe when moving through the parking lot. We appreciate your patience and help during drop off and pick up each day!
Before and After Care 22-23:
Please note the 22-23 SY BAC Application for next year. The 1st lottery will be April 15th and the 2nd will be May 6th. All families will be notified prior to summer break so that they have advance notice to make other arrangements if necessary.
This is for all parents that have kids receiving special education services at PCS.
Estimados padres,
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education values the opinions of all parents in Missouri’s schools. We would appreciate you taking the time to respond to this brief survey about the special education services your child receives. This survey is confidential; your individual responses are not shared with the school district or anyone else. Only a summary of all responses is provided to school districts in order to help all schools improve education for our children.
You may complete this survey online. Please complete by March 31.
