Elementary School Newsletter 5.6.2024

Dear Elementary Families

Can you believe it? We're down to just three weeks left of school. It's been an incredible journey, and our staff and students have poured their hearts into making this year memorable. As we approach the finish line, let's keep those good vibes flowing and celebrate all the achievements and joys we've experienced together. There's still so much to look forward to before our students leave for their summer adventures, we are excited to make every moment count!

A Note From  PCG:

We have heard from the Cardinals that if we sell all of our tickets, the top seller will get to go on the field for a pregame visit!! They have also given us some incentives to raffle off. Everyone who has purchased tickets will be entered in the drawing. With this information we have decided to extend our ticket sales through next Monday May 6th! There are forms in every office. Please be sure to fill out a form so we can make sure you are entered in the drawing. Tickets will begin being sent home next week.

Let's get those tickets sold so we can have a wonderful PCS night at the ballpark!

Staff Shout Outs:

This year, we introduced a new initiative: the Staff Shout Out Form, allowing our team members to recognize and applaud each other's dedication and hard work. It's become a great feature in our weekly staff newsletter, fostering a culture of appreciation and support. As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we're extending this opportunity to our family community. We invite you to join us in showering our staff with well-deserved shoutouts! Whether you choose to remain anonymous or share your name, your words of recognition mean the world to us. Click the link below to show your appreciation for any of our dedicated staff members.

Elementary Assembly & Attendance Focus:

We had TOO much fun celebrating the hard work our students did in April. After student input and ideas, it was determined that 1 student from each class would supersoak a staff member during the assembly. We loved seeing all of the smiles! As a reminder, we will be putting an intentional focus on attendance for the final few weeks of school. We are eager to have fun and celebrate great attendance with the students!

Cyber Safety Presentation for Parents/Guardians:

On Tuesday, May 7th, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM in the Middle School cafe, we will be holding a cyber safety presentation and Q&A session led by a local FBI Special Agent. This presentation will be for parents/guardians only.

In today's digital age, ensuring our children's safety online is paramount. That's why we've invited an expert to share invaluable insights and tips on navigating the digital landscape safely and responsibly. This presentation will cover cybersecurity best practices, recognizing online threats, protecting personal information, responding to cyberbullying, and most importantly, how to talk to your student about the importance of cyber safety.

This is a great opportunity to empower yourself with the knowledge and tools needed to safeguard your child's online experience. We hope to see you there!
