Elementary School Newsletter 11.13.2023

Hello Elementary Families,

We hope you enjoyed your extended weekend with your student(s)! Our staff did some great work on Friday during our Professional Development day. It's always so nice to come together as a school to deepen our understanding of instructional practices. It is important that we are continually learning and growing as educators so that we can remain the best of the best for our students!

This newsletter will be short and sweet with minimal updates, as there is not too much new to update you on at the moment.

Parent Involvement/Volunteers (for the Elementary Building)

We want to extend a thank you to two parents that came up and painted one of our entry walls and finished hanging picture lights above our gallery wall last week. It has been so great seeing families around and we greatly appreciate the help that is being offered!

As a reminder, Ii you're interested in supporting our school in a more substantial capacity, one that extends beyond your child's classroom, please take a moment to complete this form.

Winter Parties:

Winter parties are right around the corner! Please be on the lookout for information from your student’s teacher about winter parties over the next couple of weeks. Teachers ultimately will be determining what they want this day to look like, but we do hope to have family involvement as well.

Please be aware that if you do want to volunteer in the classrooms you must complete a background check. We also ask that you review our Volunteer Guidelines before deciding if you’d like to volunteer in our school (this also has all the information you will need to complete the background check).

Staff Highlights:

In this week’s newsletter we are highlighting our Occupational Therapists!

Drop Off Reminder:

As a reminder, our morning duty staff are not outside to supervise drop off until 8:00 am. In the interest of student safety, please do not leave your child(ren) unsupervised before 8:00am. Additionally, please do not allow your child to kick or throw balls in the morning where families are waiting. We appreciate your support in this matter as we work to keep all of our students safe.

Upcoming dates:

  • November 16 - Picture Retake

  • November 22-24 - No School Thanksgiving Break

  • December 20 - January 3 - Winter Break

  • January 4 - End of Quarter 2

Have a great week!
