Middle School Newsletter - September 13th, 2021
Queridas familias de PCS,
I can’t even begin to properly express my excitement that we are able to be back together for the 2021-22 school year. Obviously, this won’t always be the case but I have come to realize that regardless of where your child is learning from we are going to have an exceptional year together.
Summer was extremely busy with lots of planning and more planning and then pivoting as things are ever-changing. While we spent hundreds of hours planning for this year we know that we have to be ready to change course at any time.
Personally, I have learned the importance of being incredibly flexible, more now than ever, as well as being graceful. I have come to realize that this year we have no other option but to be flexible and graceful with one another.
With so much that is unknown at this time, there are two things that I am absolutely certain of. First, and foremost, we LOVE your children! Our MS teachers can’t wait to reconnect with their students and with you and begin to build those relationships that are quite frankly the most important part of what we do. Additionally, I know our MS team can accomplish anything, even when life throws us a curveball or two. While this year will look like no other year, we are not changing our expectations for one another or our students. We are here to support your children while providing them with an engaging and rigorous educational experience.
This team of teachers is absolutely dedicated to your children and wants nothing but the very best for them. I can’t begin to express the gratitude that I have for the dedication, determination, and love they pour into their classrooms, both brick and mortar and virtual. While I have no doubts that your children’s teachers are ready for the challenges that are inevitable to come, I am going to ask that you please give them grace. Grace is a priceless gift of understanding especially during difficult times.
I always refer to PCS as a really large family and now more than ever I know this is true. Families are full of love and can get messy at times but we support one another even when life gets really hard. I have felt this support, not only from my middle school team but from so many of you. Thank you for this gift. Also, thank you for the priceless gift of trusting us with your children every day. You have my word they will be loved and cared for when they are with us.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns or questions you have...there is no concern that is too small. I am confident that together we will make this a remarkable year!
Amablemente,
Kim
